Robert Schaezlein came to San Francisco from Germany in the 1870’s and made society badges and other silver items. Although an earthquake nearly wiped them out in 1906 they salvaged all the equipment they could and are still using the surviving dies today. Schaezlein made silver saddles and harness trimming for companies known for high quality including Visalia, Bona Allen, and Hamley just to name a few. Now three generations later, Rob Schaezlein uses the same care and precision in his fabulous buckles today.
