The 3 large colorful beads are vintage “friendship” beads—years ago, at the end of the day, when there were various colors of glass left from making solid color beads, the makers would blend them together in “friendship” fashion and make these multi-colored beads to use up all of the glass and not wasting the colors.
The red “white heart” beads are also vintage beads that are red on the outside, but have white “hearts” on the inside—these were originally trade beads produced in Italy prior to 1900. Each one is a bit different in size and/or shape, making it more interesting to the eye. Measures 18″.
