Seidel’s Saddlery basket stamped belts are first stamped and the lined and stitched. They are made with the same premium leather and put together with the same skill and care that goes into constructing our hand tooled belts. The difference is the decoration—the basket stamping. The impression is made with 1 basket stamp tool and 1 shell border stamp tool (see pic below), as opposed to the many many different tools and steps in creating a floral carved / tooled belt. Other tools required is a swivel knife and beader. Basket stamped belts can be ordered in the same colors as our floral carved belts — cognac, chestnut, black, mahogany, light brown, dark brown.
