Seidel’s Saddlery crazy basket stamped belts are first stamped and then lined and stitched. They are made with the same premium leather and put together with the same skill and care that goes into constructing our hand tooled belts. The difference is the decoration—the basket stamping. It’s called “crazy” because you can go cross-eyed while stamping at it—it’s crazy! The impression is made with 1 crazy basket stamp tool and 1 shell border stamp tool, as opposed to the many many different tools and steps in creating a floral carved / tooled belt. Basket stamped belts can be ordered in the same colors as our floral carved belts — cognac, chestnut, black, mahogany, light brown, dark brown.
